I have a thing for the Latin langauge. I don't know how it all happened, one year I was taking French, the next year I was taking Latin and French and then suddenly I was taking just Latin. Go figure! When I started working, I was able to incorporate my love of Latin into the after school program!
My two favorite Latin textbooks are First Year Latin by Jenney, Scudder, and Baade and the Cambridge Latin Course which is out of England. Oddly enough, these were the two texts used in my high school. You can't actually get the Jenney version anymore... it's out of print. But Cambridge you can get. I currently only have the first two textbooks, but I am longing for book three where they goto Britannia. They have the best website. My students really enjoy playing the games!
